I have been looking for a working, third-party Tumblr client for Mac. I don’t use Dashboard, so the widget was not an option. I tried a few web based ones but was not impressed. MarsEdit has Tumblr support (the only desktop power client with support) but I couldn’t get it to work due to errors. I didn’t find anything on my search so I went back to MarsEdit and gave it another try. No matter how many different ways I tried to set it up I was getting the same “null” error. I realize this error means something was being reported as non-existent on the server so I checked every setting on Tumblr. After enough frustration I did another search on some support forums only to find someone else with the same problem. I imagine that user had the same face-palm moment as I did when I realized my username was not CoffeeDaze, but rather my email address. Needless to say, MarsEdit works perfectly with Tumblr if you bother to log in correctly. Good stuff.

By the way Blogo, where the hell is Tumblr support? I read you were “working” on it 8 months ago. Sad.
